Become a Professional Billiards Payer - How to Do it by Improving Your Stroke
STROKE! Most novice players tend to read up on all the possible aiming systems around. They go from ghost ball to fractional aiming and all sorts of fancy stuff. Now, I'm not saying these systems don't work, it all really depends on what type of person you are, and on the way you think. However, without proper stroke the ball will NEVER go where you're aiming. Making the improvement of your stroke the first essential step towards learning how to become a professional billiards player. So before learning any fancy aiming systems I suggest you practice your stroke. There are all sorts of stroke exercises out there, but I'll focus on the one I think is the most effective, and that will not cost you a lot.
One of the first exercises you learn when you're starting to play billiards is "The Bottle Exercise". Basically you take any random bottle (just make sure its empty:), and you start swinging your cue stick back and forth through the opening of the bottle. You do 50 reps per set, then you do this a couple of times. With this you star getting the hang of the whole stroke thing. You might want to integrate this particular exercise as warm-up in your training session. Well, that is if you have a training session.
Remember, noble readers, stroke is of the essence so improving your stroke should be you primary concern towards becoming a pro. Focus on this one principle and your billiards skill will sky rocket. Seriously, there is nothing worse than hitting a ball, knowing that your aiming was just right, and then seeing the ball go no where near the spot you were aiming at. So improve your stroke.
