I cancelld my Yahoo acct but paid for the full month. Why did it cancel early?
I signed up at Yahoo Games so that I could play 9-Ball (pool). I got the first month free and forgot to cancel it, when it charged the next month it overdrew my bank acct. by $0.02 --- I had to pay $35 to my bank acct. for accepting the charge and paying the extra 2 cents it for me. Then I cancelld my Yahoo acct. so that I wouldn't forget again and be charged another $35 if the money wasn't there next month... But the next billing date was June 6th and as soon as I cancelled it wont let me finish the month...... I'm paying for something that I'm not even getting.. How on earth is this fair?? I thought most sites let you finish the month that you already paid for?!
But most sites go by the date of billing.. not the date of cancellation... I'm really P/O'd that I paid for a full month and now can't play 9-ball..... Espically since I paid an extra $35 to the friggen bank for an over draw.
Sorry, when you cancel an account on-line, it is immediately removed. You should have waited until June 5 to cancel your Yahoo account. Always contact any paid-for on-line service to get info on the best way to cancel the service.
Example:
I got DSL service around same time my dial-up plan was ready for annual renewal via credit card. I called & asked my dial-up service the best way to cancel. They reset my annual pay via credit card to monthly pay via mail-in payment and told me to wait until the day before the next billing date to cancel. It worked fine for me and I lost no $.
