14 month old have milk allergy?
My daughter is 14 months old and 19 lbs 2 oz, 30 in long. She is a pretty content baby until a few weeks ago. She was irritable, 101 fever, constantly being on tylenol for it, etc. She is better now but wonder if it is more than teething. She HAS NEVER had solid poopy diapers- always very loose and recently very mucas like, and has white spots on her arms (excema?).
I just keep thinking maybe she might have an allergy to something- milk, dairy in general, wheat, etc. Anyone know how to determine this or rule one out versus the other.
She is currently on whole milk, what are some alternatives?
If your child has a diet free of any of those well known allergies what you feed them?
Honestly, you need to take her to the pediatrician and insist on an allergy test. The never having solid poops and eating only solids is a problem. Find out what the allergies are, and go from there. If you find out it's a dairy/nut/egg allergy, I can help you TONS! The only way to determine what the cause is is to log every food item that enters her body. They'll do a battery of tests at the allergist, and if they can't figure it out, they'll have you feed her only a certain type of food for a few days, and introduce one at a time until you can single it out. The fever, etc was probably teething--while teething, babies generally have fevers and loose stools.
