What are the social problems of Aspergers?

Can the social aspect of Aspergers be broken down to a couple of catagories? I have understood these few:

Problems acting approproate/knowing how to act
Social/emotional reciprocality
Reading nonverbal cues and responding to it
Empathy
Knowing how to carry a conversation (or is that the same as the first??)

Are there other parts i did'nt get? Please break them down for me, so i can understand it better. Or is the social aspect of aspergers a way to generel thing to be broken down?

You misunderstand "empathy". There are 3 different types of empathy, not one all-encompassing trait.

Empathic Concern > Sympathy
Cognitive Empathy > understanding the thoughts, motivations etc of others
Affective Empathy > feeling the joy, love, pain etc of others

Ignorant people often mistake Aspergers for sociopaths because the make the same fatal (and incorrect) assumption, that empathy only means to feel warmth, love or care for others - Affective Empathy. But Aspergers do have "AE" (and "EC") it's "CE" they lack...something totally different.

Aspergers have little or no problem with either Affective Empathy or Sympathy, but simply show it differently. Sociopaths on the other hand have an almost complete lack of both, but do have strong Cognitive Empathy - which they use to manipulate people, something nearly impossible for most Aspergers. Once you dichotomise empathy into its subtypes, it's plain to see Aspergers and sociopaths are polar opposites.

We appreciate you looking at our Cue Parts information.
