Do You Know How to Play Pool?
Pool is categorized as a cue or billiard sports which involves dropping billiard balls inside the pockets of a pool table with the use of a cue stick. It can be an exciting game which can be enjoyed by multiple individuals at a time. Over the years Pool competitions have become increasingly frequent and are held annually in various locations around the country where persons contend with each other for the title as best pool player in their district. There are many different means to play the game but we will only be concentrating on a basic eight ball game. Required Tools:
Cue stick
Mechanical bridge Chalk Rack Required Materials:
Pool table
Billiard balls
Billiard cues Instructions are as follows:
1. A basic game of pool commences by organizing all the billiard balls onto the pool table using the rack, with the exception of the cue ball. 2. Each player then selects the type of cue stick they wish to play with and then smooth off the tip using the chalk so that the entire tip is covered with chalk. Afterwards you can puff off the top to get rid of the excess chalk residue. Some persons rather purchase their own personal pool stick for playing pool. 3. After deciding who will start off the game, place the cue ball before the designated line on the pool table. Employ one hand on the pool table to direct the cue ball where it ought to go and the other to apply the force needed to hit it firmly enough so that it connects with the rack of balls. If billiard balls are struck hard enough, then they should spread across the pool table. If you are right handed more likely the steering hand will be the left and the hitting hand the right and for left handed people vice versa. One easy method is to form the directing hand is to make a small semi circle using the thumb on top of the index finger so that the cue stick can be placed on top of it. 4. Once all the balls are spread out across the pool table and none of the colored balls or the Number 9 ball sinks the other person or team will be allowed to try and sink between the whole or strip balls. Whoever gets any one of them balls into the pocket first excluding for the cue ball will have to aim for that type of ball throughout the rest of the game. The player who sinks all of their colored balls before the other will then try to sink the Number 9 ball, but whoever sinks the Number 9 ball before then will automatically lose the match. 5. While playing pool, any competitor can take shots from almost any angle to sink a ball into the hole. Once they apply the right technique so that the cue ball strikes the colored ball dead center, then the shot should get the job done, If not it will either miss the ball or it may not hit it good enough for the ball to sink. Just arrange the shot properly and take the shot. 6. Players can also strike the cue ball at an angle so it can bounce from either end the pool table and strike another colored ball. You can also use the cue ball to hit another ball which then rebounds off the cushion and drop another ball. Use the cue stick and line up the shot with the cushioning on the pool table to realize the best position to make a good shot. 7. In a pool match another effective technique for sinking a ball is to hit the cue ball onto a colored ball so that it doesn't hit dead on but rather intentionally off centre so it moves towards a hole. According to where you want the colored ball to go will verofy how far off centre you need to hit the ball. However, don't slice the ball too much so that you might miss the hole completely. 8. Another shot is called Canon which is a practical shot if the ball you need to hit is blocked by a couple billiard balls. First observe the balls in question, and calculate how you want to strike the first ball in order for it to make contact with the other ball to the right angle, or probably even strike the third. Once you have thought about this then hit it steadily, but not too hard so that the balls fly off around the pool table. Tips and Warnings *Prior to striking the cue ball, always check that the tip of the pool stick is firmly screwed in to the end section, sometimes the tip can work itself loose and even fall off and this may affect the users performance. *Participating in pool requires experience and skill, so once you continuously work on your performance level then your tactics and game play will steadily increase. * When playing a pool game, players should also employ the right stance, the left foot should be placed forward and the right foot behind about two feet and you should not be too close to the table.
